Barclays Pinsentry this morning

Morning All

Have just tried to log onto Barclay on-line banking. The website has a new look (not sure if this happened today or not as haven't logged on for a few days)

I can't seem to log in using my pinsentry. I've tried several times and triple checked all my details.....anybody else having a problem this morning or am I being tick??!

  • hi katy,
i logged in this morning using my pinsentry with no trouble whatsoever.
im pretty sure the site went live this morning as i checked yesterday and it was on the old site.

dont mean to sound patronising but you are entering the last FIVE digits of your card arent you? it used to be 4 for a long time, but is now 5.
then enter ur card i the reader, press identify, tap in ur pin, and the 8 digit code in the 2 boxes beneath...

if you do that and still have an issue i'd contact them if i were you.

    .............. :A.............
  • oh, and sometimes i find it errors if i dont remove the card from the reader after tapping in the 8 digit code, before clicking continue... i have no idea why, as i wouldnt have thought this should make any difference!

    hi katy,

Enter the last 4 digits of the card number on any of your Barclays
debit cards or Authentication Card into the box here:

It's only asking me for four digits......and there is only space for four!???!

Have just tried again and it still won't let me. Was hoping I wouldn't have to resort to ringing them but looks like I will have to!

Thanks for your help anyway xx

You are trying to access the account with the correct card aren't you. (If you have more than one account there).
Check the account number you are trying to access.
I had no problems this morning.....only useing the usual four digits!

After rebooting and clearing my cookies it is now taking me to a different looking page and asking me for my FIVE digit passcode!

I think I will just ring them as am getting nowhere!

Don't usually have any problems....I'm not stupid honest! ;o)

    Woohoo I'm not stupid!

They're having loads of problems with people with internet explorer version 8!

They are looking into it and getting back to me later on today.

Will let you know the outcome.
