Am £23.64 up on BB :j
Work stinks, but it's just a job, not a way of life. My attempts at my CV are suffering from self sabotage and procrastination. Feel the fear and all that. 2010 is just 6 weeks away.

Anyone got a wet fish ? Lethargy is rife here at moment, probably time of year and all that.

Off to look for inspirational posts.

**passes wet fish......just right for slapping with**

It IS that time of the year - weather is grey, everything is expensive, money needs to be spent but we haven't got it, we are mourning the life we used to have, etc etc.

But as you say, 2010 is just 6 weeks away - I get impatient for the new year to start, so I actually start mine on 1st December......that way I don't get caught up in new years resolutions that will get broken, thereby making me feel like a failure etc

Get planning for the next phase of your life now, and have 1st December, which is only a few days away, as your new year too!

  • Hypno, where do you get these inspirational ideas from ? Brilliant.

Because I feel November has been very lack lustre it's affecting my mood. Topped with another generic letter from the bank yesterday re my OD, even though I spoke to them last month, I need to shake this off.

There's no point sitting here feeling sorry for myself again. Got to do something about it. Negativity creeps in and it's a slippery slope.

I have a day off. Dare I say I could do something about my CV ? Been piddling about with it for two months. Local paper comes out today, get my hands on that.

    Get on with it !

It's a case of "do what you always did, get what you always get"......new year has never been great for me, so it was up to me to decide not to be bothered by new year but to find an alternative that did work.

Enjoy your day off. I look forward to reading your progress when I get home.

Got on with the painting yesterday, and am pleased with how the bathroom is looking, got some other silly little jobs out the way too. Have two rooms half painted !
Entered some comps, DH used to be big on comps and we had some great wins.
Heard from a long lost friend too, and for some reason that always inspires me. Just a nostalgic thing I guess.
Did nothing to beat the debt, but feeling good today, I have a 'Mum's taxi' weekend booked, but I don't mind that I can get on with ebaying, painting and positive pottering ! Back on the decluttering wagon.
42 days until the end of the year, going to make each day work for me.

That's a great idea. Finish the year in style.

Hope you get a good win on those comps.

    Bye for now.

  • Q? How long does it take to paint a small bathroom?
A - Bloomin ages when you realise
    1) should have sealed new plaster
    2) should have sanded old plaster to remove sheen
    3) should have bought bathroom paint
    4) DS2 takes showers that last forever, resulting in streaking.

Everything needs a second coat with the correct paint. Is a learning curve.

Kirsten, I'm pretty sure someone dumped their ironing in with mine actually...
