It will be a sole trade or a partnership in all likelihood.
Couple of things - firstly, send a letter to the address asserting your title to the items.
Secondly, do you know if the solicitor in question (is it a one man band?) has assets (e.g. house, etc).
If there are any partners, do they have any assets? They will be jointly and severally liable.
Don't expect too much help from the Solicitors Regulation Authority as you are not a client. They should, however, be able to tell you the latest position on the practice and whether there has been an "intervention". This is when another law firm takes over the conduct.
If there has already been an intervention, get in touch with this new firm and assert your title to the goods to them.0 -
First,y - This has been done , sent a letter to the address hoping someone would pick it up, stating what is owed and when to who etc etc.
secondly, yes i do very well. I know his home address but he is currently in custody on remand.
The partner in question in the business has been murdered.
I have been in touch with the new law firm but they say they are only conducting business for current clients and cant help creditors!0 -
They won't be able to help creditors but if you tell them that the equipment is yours, they will then be under a duty to take care of it.0
