Item not as described ...seller doesnt want to refund.

Hey, everyone!

I'm a bit worried now since I've just spent 230 pounds on a mini notebook asus eeepc 901 that I bought off ebay. It clearly stated that it had a 160 hard drive capacity on the description (check it out on http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150356973820 ) but when I got home from a few days abroad and opened the package it turns out it has only 12gb internal hard drive. I inmmediately let the seller know that she has made a mistake and offer a solution of keeping it for 80 quid more, she the offers 60 pounds off that I decided to decline becaused for 170 pounds a notebook with such small hdd its no good for me whe I can easily buy one with a 160gb for 190 pounds, brand new. She then changes her mind, after acknowledging her mistake and then says that I misundersttod, that when it says 160 hdd capacity it means that it might have that not that it actually has it.!!!! rthat is my problem that i didnt read correctly and that she is not willing to give a full refund, let alone pay for the shipping cost .

have escalated the claim with paypal but now getting worried that i might get stuck with such a !!!!!! notebook and with 230 pounds less in my pocket.

Am I going crazy? what are my rights in this situation? can I ask for her to pay whatever it cost to send it back as well?. Any inut would be appreciatted, guys ....

:)

its been mis sold, so really she should cover the cost of the return postage, but if it were me to get a refund i would send it back recorded using dhl for a tenner and pursue it through ebay and paypal

I, and so would any normal person, read it as you did with 160gig hd. Definately trying to wriggle out of misselling. Continue with the dispute and when you win send it back by a trackable method, as per paypals instructions.

Its just a pain in the !!! that all this is gonna take ages to sort out .... dont you just hate it when you find people like that? they're the ones that ruin all the fun for the rest of us .... :)

i think he is annoyed but i always try to keep comms open, i cant really be held responsible for the post, annoyingly though RM has lost 3 parcels this month, i stopped using them last year because they kept losing stuff and switched to DHL were are fantastic and usully get it delivered next day, i couldn't wait in for DHL on this occasion though so gave RM another chance,,,,,,i wont make that mistake again, even more annoyingly it would have only cost an extra 50p to send with dhl aswell
