Macs aren't unique, not by a long chalk. They're resolutely middling-good in performance terms but over-priced in every segment that Apple target bar the top end.

It's a shame that so many people needlessly spend so much because of their marketing, but if you're happy enough with it, then good luck to you. I'll carry on with my choices and save my cash.

Yeah they are redicously expensive. You could build a super computer for the same amount of money. I'm just wanting to move away from Windows because I'm bored of it. I'm not a Linux fan so I can't see myself switching to that.

    OK,
I'm thinking about buying a new Apple Laptop - £900

I currently have a HSBC credit card, which comes out DD. I also have a capital one card, which I got to improve credit rating - around %30 apr.

If I get a new credit card with 0% balance transfer for 13 months, should I buy the laptop on the capital one card then transfer the balance to the new card. If I pay so much a month does it mean I just pay the amount or is the APR payable each month?

Look for a supplier that will sell you the laptop on free finance?

Build your credit rateing with that.
