02 imode problem

I've recently ported my number from T Mobile to O2 for a different tarrif and phone. I have the Samsung Z320i phone. The transfer went ok but the imode is not working on the phone. The icon on the phone's screen that should be yellow when imode is available is permanately grey.
So I ring up customer services who tell me that my account was set up as wap, but they've changed it over to imode now and it should be working within 24 hours. I'll need to remove the battery while the phone is switched on to reset the phone. 24 hours later - still not working.
I ring them up again explain whats happened and they put me through to "data support" who tell me that the imode wasn't set up properly the last time but they've done it properly this time and should be working again within 24 hours. Twenty four hours later still not working, even though I tried the reset thing again.
I ring them up again, and explain myself again, and they tell me my phone wasn't set up on a imode tariff which is why its not working and I will need to take my phone back to the shop (CPW) and have them cancel the tarrif and set it up again. (!!!!!! :mad: ) But they've put notes onto the account as to what they have to do. :rolleyes:
So I go back to the Carphone Warehouse (yesterday) and explain myself again, and the CPW tell me that what o2 said is rediculous. I can't cancel because I've had a number port and besides ALL O2 tariffs are imode compatible. No notes on my account either! So they ring up O2 for me and explain this. O2 then say that the imode on my account only went active today (yesterday) for some strange reason and they'll get someone from "data support" to call me back within 24 hours because I'll need to do something with my phone to get the imode set up.
I've just finished work, the 24 hours is up and of course the customer helpline is shut now on good friday. i've had my phone on me all day and they haven't rang.
Does anybody have any ideas? Anyone I can shout at? Does anybody know how to set up my phone for imode because the O2 website says it doesnt need to be set up.

I cant help you any but i have a Z320i aswell and i am with O2 on the O2 200 plan. When i took the plan i got the Motorola Pebl but sold it and bought the Z320i off ebay and stuck my sim in it and the imode was working fine.
