O2 Bill Credit
Options
On the O2 upgrade site it says:
Thanks!
If I do this and go to a £9.79pm contract for 12 month does this mean I won't have a monthly bill, the credit balance will just reduce each month?£150 Credit
Or you can choose to take up to £150 credit to your bill and keep your existing handset.
Thanks!

I think that's how it should be yeah. It wouldn't make sense for them to bill you when you have all that money sat there. Think happy & you'll be happy

yes thats what happens with mine. it wont show up as £150 on your account but that minus vat (which works out the same saving) then they just email saying you don't owe us anything this month until your credit runs out. You have to check your actual usage online. Hope that makes sense!0

What £9.79 pmonth tariff are you referring to? If it's the simplicity 10 then you won't get any credit for upgrading.
The £150 credit is only available if you resign into a brand new 18 month contract when upgrading and the minimum contract on 18 months is £20. Or, £15 on 24 months.

Yes, it goes on your bill as a credit, and can't be 'withdrawn'.
