Franke sinks

Franke used to do a sort of machined satin(ish) finish which resists/hides scratches, theirs still looks good
They still do a satin finish, mine has this finish. The drainer looks beautiful (if a sink can be beautiful :rotfl: ) when just cleaned and rinsed (I use a plate drainer stand thingy  ) but the scatches in the sink do still show up. Also when water splashes dry it looks a bit manky but you'd get that with all sinks however much you pay. Have to admit I could have cried when it first got scratched! But it's still a lovely sink.0 -
Fragranite are a bit more expensive, but they do not scratch > http://www.frankesinks-franketaps.co.uk/franke-calypso-c!!!51-fragranite-sink-221-p.asp"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Yes, that's my sink (the one in post 1). It's been in nearly 3 years now and still looks as good as new. I clean it using Bar-keeper's Friend, a fine powder (available from Asda or Morrisons) and then dry it off with a teacloth. Mine doesn't look scratched at all as it's a sort of satin finish rather than shiny....just shows water spots if I don't dry it off between cleaning.0
