Franke sinks

I'm looking for a 1.5 sink. So far found some in the £80 range from B&Q and Ikea. But been looking on eBay for alternatives and this Franke sink keeps cropping up for a similar price:

Is this a decent enough sink? Anyone got one?

Hi, We bought a "Franke" sink when we did our kitchen about 5 years ago (not exactly the same as the link, but similar). We've been very pleased with it and I think you'll find "Franke" are generally better quality than the cheaper DIY chain models.0

Franke is a good manufacturer, it's probably the benchmark for decent sinks as they produce a lot of the commercial stuff.0

I nearly bought that one you posted, but on a whim I searched for a Blanco sink on ebay and managed to find and win one for £74 including the tap - Blanco are miles better than Franke imho and that combo retails for £350 so I was well happy!0

No such luck for me...all the blancos are way out of my budget at the moment. Just got a Bristan kitchen tap on ebay for 1/2 the best price I could find online, so very happy with that.0 -
I just found this:

What do you think?
(bearing in mind that this is a short term solution for the next couple of years while we save up for a full kitchen refit)0 -

Are you OK with a RH drainer HH? That one has just the one tap hole so it's not reversible.
I originally bought two sinks from Wickes, this one which came with tap included. On special offer when we bought them for about £86 I think. The builders thought they were naff and persuaded us to buy a Franke sink for the kitchen and we bought this one. 3 times the price of the Wickes sink but much more sturdy for the use it will get in the kitchen. Looks beautiful too until, like all SS sinks, it starts to get scratched.
We kept one of the Wickes sinks for the utility room and it's fine in there, once fixed into the worktop not as flimsy as we first thought although the plug is a bit of a joke.
If you're intending to replace it in a couple of years then don't pay what we paid for our Franke  .0 -
If you get a Blanco, Franke or Carron Phoenix sink, you'll be fine...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

That one is very similar to mine and they are very very sturdy! I particularly love the basket strainer, very useful to rinse veggies and at the moment I'm using it to drain cutlery as my dishwasher has died. I'd go for it if it the drainer direction suits you!0 -

As you say, Franke are pretty close to the top of the tree in terms of quality and design.
I put a kitchen in for my parents getting on for 25 years ago, Franke used to do a sort of machined satin(ish) finish which resists/hides scratches, theirs still looks good0 -

Yeah, ours is currently RH drainer. OH is not keen on this sink because it doesn't come with any fittings and he's going to be doing it himself. It's also a trek to pick it up. But for £20...hmmmm
Wondering whether to just buy the Franke one brand new. Or I'm also watching this one which comes with some fittings:
