Swarovski ring bought at airport - no refund allowed

Sounds like this was an impulse purchase.
The only reason for buying something in an airport DF shop is the price - as you've discovered, they are not too hot on customer service.

If you spent a week or two in Turkey you will have come across lots of old flannel and hardsell, the airport is no different. These branded shops are often run on a franchise basis, therefore they have no interest or obligation for purchases made elsewhere. I always approach airport purchases in the same way as if I was buying from a small independent shop in a foreign resort, make sure you really want it, are happy with the price, and treat it as a souvenir.

Suggest you go and buy a lottery ticket!

I'm assuming they've given you a refund for the original purchase price and you are now off to buy it in the sale (is it still in the sale?)
