New ink cartridges not printing

I had virtually the same problem with a set of Epson cartidges from Tesco and had to take them back for a refund.

OK you do get the refund but not being able to print until you get some elsewhere (I didn't even have the option to swap as they were out of stock) and having to go back to the store costs time and money.

I wasn't planning on getting any more from Tesco and after seeing this it's obviously not a one-off so there is no way I'd get any more there now.

Do check the use-by date on every cartridge, particularly if you're buying from one of the discount outlets. It is not unusual in my experience for a supplier to send out cartridges that are well past their proper use-by date.
