Hi Hiphouse well done. I have put in a link to some Scottish retreats. The Buddhists actually bought a small island called Holy Island and there is also some info about that.

Ooh, St Andrews....I visited there about 8 years ago......bought a scottish love knot keyring while I was there (single at the time)...and met other half the following week:D ........

Also, played a bit of golf on the mini course (not particularly well it has to be said:o ).....but I DID GET A HOLE IN ONE!!!:D ....admittedly it was the wrong one:o ....and the three elderly american ladies who were also playing (very seriously) in there matching tracksuits and plimsoles were NOT AMUSED:D :p

He he...they were even less amused by how hilarious myself and every other person on the course found it:p

They are called Luckenbooths, named after the shops in Edinburgh where they were originally sold. My wife has a brooch and it is one of her favourite pieces.
just another bit of useless info.

I had some bad news last night. Someone stole my daughters phone and in one night run up 550 pounds worth of calls and she is not insured. Of course i started to drink but i stopped because i thought the problem will still be there drunk or sober and i would rather help her sober. Thats a first for me.

Well done on stopping. I used my flat being broken into as my `excuse`. I didn`t stop for about 6 months. And it wasn`t an enjoyable half year either. The `phone can be sorted , many relapses are pretty final. Again, congratulations.

I feel so low and i am trying desperately not to drink. Today has been a terrible day, when nothing feels right i feel anxious and weepy and i have a thumping headache that just wont go away. Maybe its just stress, but i know if i drink i wont stop ..............

I hope that you get through this jayne. It was in times of stress that, personally, I needed the added strength of others and of my higher power. remember that you are not alone and that people care about you.

Hi brodev thankyou so much for your kind words it just hit me how much she has to find and she has no money. Obviously we will help as much as we can but we just dont have that kind of money. It also hit me how cruel people can be she was sobbing to my husband and i just wondered whether they would have done it if they had heard her sobbing. Getting drunk is not going to resolve it i just felt panicy for a moment but as you say i am not alone and that is worth more than money......

Hugs to you Jayne and to anyone else that needs them tonight.
It usually looks better in the morning. Try and get a good sleep.
