  • I've not been here a few days so bare with me....

I think everyone has a 'higher self' ....whether they 'believe' or not...

If not...then it's you! you are answerable to you and that's it...and if you are happy with that...then good!

If not....then ...does it matter who that 'higher power' is? Whether it is you on a higher level...a god or gods etc? It doesn't matter does it....if whoever it is keeps you in check or gets you back on the 'right' road...who cares??? whatever works is good for me:D

Personally...I don't believe in GOD per say...he stopped 'being' when he took my dad away and left me with a whole load of crap to deal with....I didn't 'believe in him before...nor do I after'...didn't stop me reading the bible after my dad died (3 times....not the same one...3 different ones....all saying the same stuff...the only use I found for it was taking my mind off things...for a short while...)

Saying that...I do believe in the afterlife etc...and others looking out for us....others might not....I've had a few very close experiences...

My sis being told about my mum/her illness/her care arrangements/the day centre she used to go to/where it was/how my dad died/where etc etc etc by a 'medium' who absolultely NO connection with us at all.....

Me being told by a medium....you were lucky with that taxi!! very close!!...after had just been nearly killed by one.....

The story there....me and mates out on a night out....1/2 drinks....with a meal.....not the slightest bit drunk...not even tipsey....crossing the main road o/s the Adelphi in Liverpool....me...crossing a perfectly clear road (in both directions...).....I slipped on the road...a bit oily....looked up to see a taxi speeding round the corner ....hurtling towards my head....saw everyone's face looking horrified at what was about to happen....taxi did not slow down/stop or anything carried on as normal........I in the mean time felt that everything went into slow motion and that I was 'picked up' out of the way....

That for me is proof....and I don't care what any neurologists says about 'these type' of experiences...;)

I could start a whole other conversation there but I'm guessing that this is leading in a rather rude direction and has nothing to do with fluffy bunny rabbits:o

I suppose these things do happen to everyone...but if you don't believe in that type of thing...you might not notice the little things.....?

    There's plenty of stuff I don't notice...simply because I don't look out for it...

It could be about fluffy bunny rabbits, depends :)

But if it was something out of the ordinary, then I would notice it surely shirley?

I understand what you mean chrismojam :)

Just listened to my first self help CD:o Still a little cynical, but the half hour went quickly, even with daughter coughing every few seconds, upstairs:eek:

Now look, I'm getting a bit confused, I know a few peoples names, but not everyones. And I'm quite simple, Al is not Alan, Alex, Alec or any other four letter name starting al, it is Alasdair, traditional Gaelic spelling. But I'm a midlander. So if people don't mind, could they publish their given name or at least PM me, please;)
