New year is never a big party time for me.
Plus, I've got no drink in the house, so there isn't any temptation (well, I've got the emergency vodka, but that doesn't count lol).
I'm just not listening to that monkey.
Out of interest, do you all have a monkey on your back that trys to get you to do bad things? Was talking to Mum about this bloody monkey, and most people at AA have them. Mines a man. TypicalStay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
Hi folks, that's another Xmas by. Congratulations to all. Now we have Amateurs Night Out (new years night to everybody else) to look forward to. The only problem is that after it's over we tend to want to congratulate ourselves on being so clever by not taking a drink. "Now that I have done it I DESERVE a little voddy or something". I know, I've been there. If you don't get these feelings be happy. If you do, accept them as being fairly common and normal and just take it ODAAT. Now I must go back to sunbathing. How's the fog? I do have a nasty streak.Something Really Interesting0

What's wrong with men? last time I looked I was one.
I don't have a monkey. what I have is a cartoon. Being a Scot I was brought up with "Oor Willie" When he was tempted to be naughty he had cartoons of a little oorwillie devil on one side and an oorwillie angel on the other. both were telling him to do conflicting things. that's how I imagine it with myself.Something Really Interesting0 -
