Susie well done in coming clean to your dd's, I'm so glad they are going to be supportive of you.

E-lass and Mich, I stopped smoking a week before Christmas and believe me if I can do it ANYONE can. I have no will power what so ever but smoking was making me so ill, I had constant colds, ear and sinus infections and problems breathing. I got up after a really bad night not being able to sleep because of coughing and said that's it. (If only I could now do the same with the drink eh )

It was hell at first, but I was actually quite surprised how quickly the cravings passed when I got one and then how quickly the cravings became less and less frequent. 4 (ish) months down the line if I smell someone smoking I get a bit of a pang and want one, but now the smell of stale smoke totally turns my stomach, I hate to think I used to smell like that all the time

Not so bad. Had a bit of a hiccup, my MIL sent round a bottle of wine we opened at lunch time and I finished it off late last night. Don't know why, I didn't enjoy it and there wasn't enough in it to get me drunk. I really wish I had just poured it down the sink. Hated the idea of wasting it though LOL

On the plus side I did find out that our local corner shop was open yesterday even though it was Easter Sunday but I resisted the temptation to go and buy vodka to go with the wine Fingers crossed I can do the same tonight.

my first fag of the day is usually at 8pm (if im at work)
usually later when its my night off..

in January i decided to pack in smoking at work
( its gonna be banned soon anyway)..
'we' have been moved outside in a kind of bus shelter thingy so
no one can see us :rolleyes: ....

i have never smoked on the street if we go for lunch
i never smoke....never smoked infront of the kids

only at work or my kitchen under the fan extractor ..

i didnt find it hard to give up the fags at work....just changed were i
went for my break & changed break time xx...

and i only smoked one last night

(they are the ones you makes yaself too)
