Adding memory to a Samsung Tocco Lite

I've just purchased a Samsung Tocco Lite which I'm pretty happy with, however when I inserted a 4GB Class 6 Micro SD Card to increase the memory the phone has not recognised this. There is nothing in the manual to say if this should be initialised in any way. Any suggestions greatly apreciated.
