Iphone headphones not working

Hi,

I listen to my iphone quite a bit via headphones but now when I plug in any pair (i've tried 3) the sound is really garbled, lasts for a few seconds and then reverts to the speaker.
I have had the phone since March so it is not that long.

Any help appreciated.

it sounds like the headphone socket is full of dust or pocket fluff. try hoovering it out or blowing into the socket. if that doesn't work phone apple customer services up and they will make an appointment at a genius bar at an apple store if there is one local to you.
you could take the phone back to the shop and ask them to send it for repair but they only send it off to apple anyway and it takes a few weeks so it is quicker to take it yourself. your mobile phone shop should have apples contact details.

Go to the apple website and book an appointment at your local apple store, as "123oleary" states book an appointment with the genius bar and they will be able to fix your problem.
