Anyone been to Padua?

I am looking for advice on the best/cheapest options for a long weekend or short break in Padua,Italy.Any help would be much appreciated.

Ryanair fly to Treviso which is 40KM away, from London Stansted,Liverpool ,Dublin and Shannon
Easyjet fly into Marco Polo which is aprox same distance away
Or fly to Verona aprox 120KM away
Bookings.net list 12 hotels in Padova
Active hotels list over 50 within a 30KM

Just want to check if you mean Padova or are you talking about somewhere else in Italy ?

All the articles I have read called it in Padua but when you Google it it also come up as Padova.

Don't worry, Padua is the English translation, it's Padova in Italian, but it is the same place
