I use the "Contact Buyer" tab after I've marked item has been despatched.

I delete all but the title of the item in the subject line and add the word *DESPATCHED* at the beginning.

Then type a short message to advise that their winnings have been despatched by Royal Mail that day, thank them for their interest, and sign off.

Also tick the box to have a copy sent to me.

    HTH.

That marks it for us the seller but doesn't let the buyer know. Some of us, me included like to send a brief note to buyers saying that item was sent and maybe adding a small (cut and paste) 'personal' message.

Cheers folks, I guess I will just use the contact buyer thing and write my own message. But there definitely used to be this feature where you clicked on 'email buyer' and you could select what type of email you wanted to send (this is in bog-standard ebay, not selling manager or anything like that)

    Oh well :confused::p

All functions can be switched on or off.
Automatic feedback, either immediately after payment received or after its left for you, you get ten templates for feedback.
Automatic emails, with payment details at end of auction, dispatch notice, payment reminder, feedback reminder and customisable ones.
Stock inventory. I also think its one way of getting free scheduled listings, they can also be scheduled free by another listing tool, so you can use it with Turbo Lister or GarageSale.
There are invoice printing templates, you can print off invoices dispatch notes, etc, and select the ones you want and it will print them off in one run.
There are also pages for awaiting payment, awaiting feedback, eligible for disputes, etc.
If I'm honest I've used SMP for 7 years and don't really know which bits are in it and which aren't! I think I've covered a lot of it, there are some bits with inventory that I don't use, so there may be other advantages there.

    Cheers honey, :T
I'll have a little play with it for a month maybe and see if it transforms my life! :D

I kind of like leaving individual feedback so I probably wouldn't use that function, but I have a lot of regular and repeat buyers and I think it would help me keep track of what they bought last time so I can ask them how they're getting on with it etc.

(Cos sometimes my brain hurts from trying to remember all that stuff!) :o

  • i have been using seller manager pro for about 6 months.

i find the only times i actually use it is for the auto email notifications, and the auto feedback feature.

its borderline whether its worth the fiver a month, but it does save a bit of hassle in terms of keeping customers informed.
