Is this the cheapest way to add broadband?

I have a landline and I would like to get broadband.

I have BT on the cheapest monthly tariff and I am with Just Dial (who I understand are changing to Talk Talk?) for my calls.

I have looked at Martins article on the Broadband and is it mad as a fish that is the cheapest?

If I do all of the above; keep the landline and Talk Talk and then sign up to Mad as a Fish would it be the cheapest and most effective way to do what I want to do?

Many thanks for any advice - I am new to the broadband thing so want to make sure I am getting it right!

Martins article is a bit out of date due to recent events. Surely you have seen the Talk Talk adverts this week offering free calls and broadband - may be worth a look!

    It's all explained here

Nobody really knows how good or bad it is as it was only launched on Tuesday but it must be a step in the right direction and will hopefully shake up the market. Some people have used their telephone service and been quite happy with it.

Given the amount of negative customer reviews I have read about TalkTalk's paid for broadband service I would wait a while before moving to their free one. If they can't provide a decent service when they are getting money for it how can they do it when it's free? I know free is relative as they will be making money elsewhere but it does make you think.
