Had an ok evening. Enjoyed watching Andy Murray win and then watched that Benefit Busters on C4.

I no longer need to go into town tomorrow which will save my petrol. Basically someone has paid for an Ebay item and I have been waiting ages for them to pay, didn't think they would. So I transferred the money (£16) onto my Paypal card and will use £10 for petrol. My £8 will be in my bank still for emergencies but hopefully I shouldn't need that. I will just have to make my petrol last and buy any food with my Nectar points. I still have £2 in my purse too and there will be another £6 on my Paypal card. Happy days :D.

Better get some sleep as still tired from my late night (early morning) yesterday.

  • Wow Emily you are so good at all this Money stuff. I would be completely panic stricken at the thought of only having 8 pounds in my bank account and yet there you are all planned out using nectar points and e bay.And the house tidying too. I need to do that this weekend. I love reading your diary cos even when you say you are feeling down you are still really positive.

I really hope you get the Chinchilla, they are lovely pets.

    Hope tomorrow goes well

    XXx
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Please don't believe it - I am rubbish at all this money stuff. The only reason I'm not panicking is because I know that I only have to last to Wednesday when my benefit goes in, nothing is due out until the end of the month and I get paid a week tomorrow (or today as it's 1am!).

Unfortunately I have decided against getting the chinchilla. I would really love one but I did say that I wasn't going to get any more pets as it's too upsetting when they die. Also, I'm really only renting my house because it has a garden for my cat. Once she goes (she is about 16-17 years old) I will be looking for a cheaper and smaller flat (I am fed up with lugging my hoover up and down the stairs!!). I think that having a chinchilla, even though they live inside, will limit my choices slightly. I will just have to be content with looking at them in Pets at Home every now and then :o.

Right, I really am going to sleep now!!

    Afternoon all

I'm at my mum's again so I can eat!! I will be fending for myself tomorrow though - I like to give my mum one day off!!

I collected my prescription and my money is on my Paypal card so I can get some petrol tonight when I go to Sainsburys. Need to get some Nectar points to replenish the ones I have had to use.

    Hi everyone

I think I am going to take a bit of stick in this post :o.

Firstly, the MSE side of me!! I have had yet another NSD today and yesterday I went to Sainsburys, put £10 in my car and spent the grand total of 68p on shopping. I did get quite a bit though and used £2.50 from my Nectar points. I am currently munching my way through a packet of 12p Basics shortbread fingers which are ok.

Now the non-MSE side of me. It's my sister's birthday coming up and I was trying to get some Amazon vouchers to buy her a camcorder. I didn't manage it and only got £20 . My mum and I have therefore ordered her one from my mum's catalogue for £180. To be fair, this is a great deal as it's cheaper than PC World (by about £50!).

She got it on buy now pay July 2010 so I am going to start giving her £10 a month starting from next month which will then pay off my £90 share in 9 months. I am planning on recouping this by getting at least £10 for selling Amazon vouchers won on BP on Ebay each month. I think I have justified that one to myself.

However, the worst thing is that in November the ATP World Finals are being held at the O2 in London. This is the first time they have been held in the UK and my sister and I are massive tennis fans. I know it would make her decade if I could get tickets for it and to be honest it would make mine too.

They have still got tickets available on ticket master and for both or us for the whole day I am looking at around £150. I was tempted by better seats on Ebay, however I have dismissed this as they were around £200 more and I am not willing to be a mug so someone else can make money out of me. I am going to book them as soon as I get paid on Friday. I know that this is £150 that I could spend on my debts but I am going to recoup that money somehow!!

The last money thing is that I am going to buy myself a little table and chairs from Wilkinsons for my house. I am fed up with eating off my tray and have wanted a table and chairs for ages. They are only £25 and my mum is buying them for me tomorrow and I am going to pay her back on Friday :D.

Better get on BP I think to get some vouchers to sell!!

    Evening all

I couldn't sleep last night and ended up losing my points on BP . Never mind .

Another NSD for me :D. Ok, I know I don't have any money to actually spend but that isn't the point! I have started doing the PAD challenge again and am trying to clear my Barclaycard.

Once I get paid I am going to do a massive shop. Well I say massive but it is all going to be Sainsburys Basic range and I have already picked out what I want to buy (with the help of their website) and it comes to just over £20 and believe me it is loads of stuff that will keep me going for ages. Spending over £20 gives me quadruple Nectar points too.

I'm back at work tomorrow and have enough food to take in with me to save buying any. Mainly Basics stuff I might add.

    Hey everyone

Well I have figured out one thing, I cannot function at work without at least 1 can of Pepsi to see me through the day. I was very good and resisted buying one for 60p as that would have basically wiped me out money wise. I went to Sainsburys this evening and got 6 cans, some toilet rolls and a couple of packets of those 12p biscuits for 17p (and £2.50 Nectar points).

As I couldn't function at work, I got to thinking about ways to make money and how I would like to have monthly targets to try and get to. The methods I have come up with are:
    1. AQA - aim for £450 a month (50 questions a day)
    2. Dooyoo - aim for £50 a month (around 3 reviews a day plus the miles for people rating them)
    3. Selling on Ebay - aim for £50 a month
    4. Selling Amazon vouchers from Bingoport - aim for £20 a month (after fees)
    5. Mystery shopping - aim for £200 a month
    6. Surveys - aim for £10 a month in cash or vouchers (probably the hardest one!)
    7. Cashback sites - aim for £20 a month
    8. Competitions - aim for £50 a month (actually this is probably the hardest!)
    9. Misc - any other methods that come my way - aim for £50 a month (just to make it even!).
So if I could do those things every month then that is an extra £900 a month to chuck at my debts.

I am going to see how I get on with this by the end of September. Should prove interesting anyway.

I have already got a couple of mystery shops lined up worth £12 in total (fees alone).

I have also won a lot of 16 clothing items off Ebay for just over £7. They are local so I am going to collect them on Saturday and I know that I can make a profit from them on Ebay. There are a couple of designer labels in there and they all look nice. They happen to be my size too so may get a few freebies out of it. :D

I'm just trying to get something from the slots on BP and have just done a 5k survey on Toluna.

My plan for Dooyoo is to write the reviews at work as I get bored sometimes and if I have a list of topics ready then I can just crack on with them as and when.

Think I might head over to the comps board now so I can try and get some prizes rolling in.

    Wish me luck!!
