Em's Millionth LBM!!

Options
Welcome to my millionth debt free diary!! Well, ok it hasn't been that many but I've had a few.

I have really been lacking in motivation as I always do, and thought well I can't change the past so I'm going to wipe the slate clean and start a new diary.

In this diary, I swear to:
  1. Post every day, even if it's just to say hi when I have nothing to report.
  2. Set myself monthly targets starting from August.
  3. Tell the truth about my spending and debts
I'm going to post in more detail tomorrow as I need to get my beauty sleep now. I'll include my monthly targets for August too.

Night all

That is the thing that keeps me on the straight and narrow - posting drivel on my diary, even if it is not debt related......it just keeps me "here" and therefore subconsciously, at least, I am moneysaving......

    Morning

Thanks for the good luck messages :A.

First positive task of the day done, I've finally called Tesco to change my clubcard address. I've been looking at the website and have decided to save my points for 12 Blockbuster rentals. That will be 12 free nights in for me and it's £12 worth of clubcard points. I'm going to try to get that fragrance offer for the 500 points and then sell it on Ebay afterwards. That's if I can find a spare £8 by the 28th.

I've got to give my mum £40 towards my catalogue bill today. I have resisted looking at her new catalogues for fear of bumping it up a bit more. I won't be buying from them again. I look on Ebay if I need any clothes now.

I've got to collect a few Avon books this morning and then I'm off to my mum's to see my niece and do some questions on AQA.

My plan this month was to pay off my electric bill and my Barclaycard but I will only be able to pay off the electric.

I need to get my backside in gear to get my sister's birthday present. I've got 2 more reviews to do on Dooyoo before I can claim another £10 voucher. I will make sure I get those done today. I need to get around £150 worth by the middle of September at the latest.

I'm going to think about my targets for August and post them later on.

    See you all later.

Hi ehallett, you know what they always say................ millionth time is a charm. Good luck on your LBM, I'll be subscribing and reading with interest. I started a diary too as I totally lack motivation. Its nice to know you have the support of others and you actually feel worse for letting them down (when actually its ourselves we let down really!). Motivation on tap here!

The internet at my mum's has been painfully slow today so I wasn't able to do any questions . I managed to get onto BP though and got up to 4k in points so only another 4k to go by the end of the evening for a £5 Amazon voucher .

I need to do a couple of letters to DCAs this evening as Capital One and Cahoot weren't happy with my revised DMP amounts and have sold the debts on. I will send them my income and expenditure forms tomorrow and am not communicating with them on the phone.

I had a nice present through my door from my Avon AM. It was a glittery stapler and pen in the shape of lipstick. I thought that was a lovely gesture. The stapler is covered in diamontes - very me!!

Anyway, onto my targets for August. They are as follows:
    1. Pay off the £500 I owe my mum. She is getting her bathroom done at the moment so I know that this money will come in handy for her and I would love to be able to pay it back to her.
    2. Pay off my Barclaycard - the current balance is £247.15
    3. Get to £100 worth of Amazon vouchers for my sister's birthday present - current total is £15.
    4. Make sure that I take my lunch into work every day.
    5. Keep my house clean and tidy.
    6. Start to reclaim my bank charges and credit card charges - I should have done this a long time ago but better late than never I suppose.
    7. Do something positive towards becoming debt free every day.
    8. Do a weekly shop for £10 or less and stick to it - no wasting money on bits and pieces from the shop on a daily basis.
    9. Take advantage of as many TMF offers and coupons as possible to help my shopping budget
    10. Make a cake!! - Something I have been meaning to do since I left home :o.
So tonight, I have to answer questions on AQA whilst doing my 2 letters and posting some stuff on Gumtree in between.

    Time to get started :D.

    Emily x

(by the way, since starting writing this an hour ago, I have since got to 8k in points on BP and have redeemed for a £5 voucher :j).
