Should I go for O2 or Orange to call internationally from my X-network minutes?

Yeah that is why I posted originally as I had found out that O2 will not allow 07744 numbers to be included as x-network from June onwards. Can't remember where I heard it either. Probably from this forum I would have thought.virgo17 wrote:Somebody just reported in another forum that O2 are about to remove 07744 and 07755 numbers from their inclusive minutes. It was in a Usenet group so I can't give you a direct link.
Might be better to check this one out before picking O2.

This is what I was hoping but does it matter what rate they charge? In my example, if 2 providers charged 5p/min and 10p/min respectively and I talked for 10 minutes, would I use up 10 minutes of x-network time for each?littlemisscheap wrote:No issue - O2 wins hands down - why? well its the 0870,0844,0845 - these numbers will start to cover even more destinations as call costs fall further still. If they don't you still win as the number of destinations already covered is phenomenal even just to call Customer Services helplines and not worry about how long you are on hold etc and nationally.0

So if O2 is changing is Orange the only option left for 07744?0

Orange and Virgin Contracts are still allowing calls to 07744 numbers at the moment,i personally cant see this lasting for ever.Whilst O2 continue to allow calls to 0844/0845/0870 numbers out of inclusive minutes they may be a better bet. What destinations do you want to call?PF.0

Providing its a 0844/0845/0870 number the calls are included in inclusive minutes.Whatever the landline tariff or time of day.
If its a 10p a minute number thats going to be an 0871 number. 0871 6p to 10p numbers are not included and will be charged at 35p a minute by O2 at all times.PF.0

Not sure if this is the right place to post can't find anything else on this query but following on from last week. I use a couple of 07744 service providers, but lately I’ve had trouble getting through has anyone else had the same?. I’m on an Orange contract and over the last week I can’t get through to Simply phones service…. Tried the Yourcall one and I get through which is weird, does anyone know if Orange have cut off Simply phone and why?0

SF is working fine on Orange . Orange would not not bar individual 07744 suppliers. They would bar them all if they were going to do so.In any case if they were going to,and their not, they would start charging ,not bar these numbers.0

Reference to the start of this thread where thor raise the question of international calls using 07744 numbers compared with 0844, 0845, 0870 numbers. Thor seemed to ask whether there will be a charge of that 4P or 5P per minutes call rate as is normally pronounced by the reception of these call providers at the start of the call. In other words the question was that whether you have to pay some extra along with use of your inclusive minutes.
I tried to read all the replies but could not find an answer for this question. All the intension remained on who is providing 07744 and 0844 numbers inclusive minutes. If you have not to pay any extra charge for these calls as is charged on calls from landline phones to these numbers then 0844, 0845, 0870 numbers are even better that 07744 numbers because there are more choice and more destinations available on these numbers. If this is the case then O2 is better choice.
Can any forum member with more know how in this case clear this case please?
 Many thanks.

The thread link below on the Niftylist Forum answers your question about 0844 calls.0845/0870 calls do not have different price bands.Quite a few Intl Destinations that have 07744 access numbers do not have the equivalent on 0844/0845/0870,0871 yes ,but 0871 is not included in O2 inclusive minutes.
