Also haven't included council tax as we get council tax benefit for majority but because I have already made payments Ive had a rebate for remaining of year.
I would like to move phone/broadband but OH says we are locked in , need to phone up and check
Anyone have any wise words?

Sorry - not much help, it all seems pretty much as it should be. Rather than try and cut back more, could you concentrate on getting more in - mystery shop/matched bet/dooyoo etc?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. If the push comes to the shove can you cut down payments to CCCS?

I have thought about trying to increase income Hypno and in fact I am trying to get vouchers etc for christmas but if I start to earn more then the HB/CTB will go down so its counter productive. I can see how people get stuck in the benefits hole.I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

I have my review with the CCCS..actually I still need to phone up for appt but I suspect they will reduce the payments. I would rather go without TBH than put payments down, so just want to get rid of these debts.I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. Hi sall, did you say £80 for CTCs? if so that seems a little on the low side. And ref your DD and no activities, she couldnt wish for another mam who can do so much to entertain her with the good things in life that don't cost anythingThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. Fresh air pie it is then........look out for them on BOGOF.
Are you doing daily scratchcards etc? You and OH can each have an account.....only a few pence each day, but that could easily add up to £150 a year, which doesn't count against benefits or for tax?
and matched betting is "winnings" so not counted for benefits either.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Is your partner on income based JSA or contribution based JSA? and is your housing benefit LHA? It must be cause its more than your rent. Im just curious as I didnt know you could earn that much and the partner claim JSA!
Is your rent negotiable due to the current climate?
And find out how solid that contract for broadband/phone really is. See you can negotiate a better deal. If not it may be cheaper to break this contract and be billed for the exit fee rather than carry on.Could you get CCCS to add the debt in to debt repayments perhaps?Ok have finally bitten the bullet and done a revised SOA, well have started it and I know it needs tweaking so here we go :o

He is on Contributions based JSA I think and yes housing Benefit is LHA. I wouldn't call earning £450 a month "that much". We also have 1 child so am guessing that is why JSA is more? £63.40 a week I think it is
Rent isn't negotiable and TBH its under the current rate for the area by about £100 per month so wouldn't be worth trying.
I will def try phoning BT and getting them to either lower the cost or try getting out of contract, thanks for your comments its good to get other peoples inputsI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
