    BT Phone/Broadband - £45.00
Does that mean your broadband is with BT as well as the phone?

If that's per month it seems a wee bit pricey. I'm with BT too and my phone/broadband comes to about £82 per quarter (£27 ish per month).
Little tip that worked for me - contact BT and ask for your MAC code (that's the code you need to move your broadband/switch ISP). You don't actually have to go through with the switch, and if their reaction was anything like the same as in my case they'll say "oh sorry to hear you're thinking about switching, can we offer you a discount to persuade you to stay with us?" ;)
You never know, worth a call I'd say.

After 6 months your partner will lose the JSA and probably not be entitled to income based JSA as you are working. Although iguess your child tax credits would increase. Have you been assessed for working tax credits?

Your motoring costs are a taking a large chunk of your income every month, is there any way these could be cut down?

KK thanks for that I have no idea about how JSA works as neither of us have ever had to claim before. I would hope that he finds a job before 6 months  anyway. I presume they have assessed for WTC, but who knows, we all know how useless they are!

I know the motoring costs seem quite high but OH has to be able to get to job interviews otherwise the JSA will dry up. I have put in £75 for petrol but I aim to keep it under that where possible. I walk or cycle and the car is generally only used when really essential
