Out of my contract with Orange - can anyone help me with what to do? I do not have

Options
a clue what the comparison sites and Orange customer services are saying?

sorry but I don't understand mobiles and tarfffs and all that.......

I'm out of contract with Orange and have been telephoned for a renewal. Usually I just say 'yeah ok' :embarasse but am really trying to sort finances and get the best deals.

so I was on 20plan which cost me about £16 a month, now costing me £21 as out of contract - they say they can renew this with a 10% discount? Is this a good deal????? Could I get better naywhere else? Have been with Orange for years and years........and they are charging me £1.48 for an itemised bill - can I cancel this?

Also, have seen Orange doing £100 cashback deals....presumably that doesnt count for contract renewals??

Thanks

Could you post a few more details aboout your plan, such as how many minutes and texts you were receiving, and how long your previous contract was.

Orange really should be giving you a better deal than you were receiving before, but I guess they may need a nudge, involving you asking for a PAC code! (Only do this after you post the rest of your contract details though, so we can compare the deal to current ones).

All companies offer free handsets on upgrading a pay monthly contract.

A PAC code enables you to transfer your mobile number to another network, effectively terminating your contract. Upon hearing a PAC code request, companies try to hold onto their customers by getting their retentions department to phone you and ask why you a leaving, where you can then say you are unhappy with the current deal, an want to pay less (or get more minutes/texts/better phone etc...).

I can see on oranges website that 24 odd pound a month gets you 400 minutes AND unlimited texts on an 18 month contract. I'm sure you can get orange to better your current deal, try the PAC code request, and if they don't budge, you don't even need to use it if you don't want to leave.
