  • Why not just get a scrap bit of carpet and make your own? Black carpet isn't hard to come by, and then you could get it bound around the edges. Should be tough wearing too.

Just think its silly we have to spend £40 on 4 mats when I would happily spend £20 on one really good one.
Do manufactors sell just the drivers or are they packs too?
Both cars have the makers mats a present.

How much? Thats not very MSE

    Fantastic, thank you.

I know you can get a cheapie set, but my DH does about 50k a year, he needs quality mats, not ones that are crappy.

    I've emailed them.

How posh do you want it to look, I've used doormats before

Its not about being posh, he cabs from Chelsea in a 25K car, his firm wouldn't appreciate door mats or make your own.

Lidl are doing sets of car mats for £4.99 from the 27th.

Hope they are better than the last batch they had where the heel reinforcement was on the passenger side!

Suppose that's what you get when you import stuff from Germany

I know that, but if his " firm " insist on high standards for their " Chelsea " customers, surely it is fair to ask them to pay.;)

    It doesn't work like that.

If you want to cab from that sort of firm you have to have the car (& keep it) in a certain way.

He doesn't have a problem paying for them, why does it bother you?

Why ask the question in the first place?
