Free phone calls totally
Hi there folks listen to this and its perfectly legal.
I have an Ipod Itouch with Skype installed on it from Apple applications. I also have a new set of headphones with an inline microphone set into them that can be bought from Apple or John Lewis for the ipod phone or touch. I sit in a WiFi zone and folks call me up for free and talk for ages from their itouch or skype phone or laptops.
Mac Donalds is free Wifi. If you sit outside it should still work if not sat inside the actual restaurant. They or I just phone each other for free and pretend we have a real iphone but for a third of the price. It will bleep/ring when folks call me and I them, even on their mobiles too. The itouch isn't even a phone. AMAZING TECHNOLOGY.
Just put them in contacts within Skype and it knows if they are actually online with their laptops switched on or not.
I had to demo this to a man who works for the Apple store at the Trafford Centre. Even he was surprised. Try and see its amazing sound quality but you need to be in a Wifi Hotspot. Happy Days. Bev :rotfl::T:j:money:Stein

3 sim dont seem to work with any other phone. also have an iphone, the skype works better on it than the 3 phone. much better reception, shorter delay in connecting.Loving the sunny days!0 -
He is talking about an Ipod not an Iphone! Still dont see how it works tho.0

3 sims do work in any 3g phone for calls and txts, an advisor said you cant use data unless you have go one of there phones, is that true???
and on your ipod touch im sure it works great but only where there is a wifi connection0 -
No, that's absolute nonsense, all you have to do is set your phone up with 3's APN settings and away you go. You may not have access to the "Planet 3" section but you will have full Internet access, and that's what is important - not their overpriced rubbish ringtones.0

I know their talking about an ipod. I just made a suggestion that it would an easier to get a 3 sim and use a 3 phone for free skype.
would you really want to have to find a wifi spot to make and recieve skype calls.
the idea of usind an ipod and wifi to use skype is great but it isnt all that practical.
i have the skype app on in the background of my 3 phone so people can phone me 24/7 via skype.0 -
Point taken snakeeyes, just think its another use for the Ipod if it works. I can just about about afford an Ipod!0
