He broke the rules.............I wouldn't have bothered replacing it....tough it got knicked!
You say teacher was "VERY ODD" you're telling me........I'd of told the kid tough luck sonny its been knicked!
Here we go again making excuses for the kid!
Kids are kids and break rules, just the same as adults (you only have to look at how many get caught on speed cameras!) He was punished, his phone was taken off him for a set amount of time (no doubt the school rules specify this). The teacher should have kept it safe. Also how would you feel if a teacher gave your child a used phone without checking there was nothing inappropriate on it. Can you imagine the outcry if the Police confiscated your car everytime you broke the road traffic act rules and then lost your car. Is it still tough you broke the rules you pay the price?
You have to remember this is a 14 year old boy. Can you remember being that age. All hormonal and pushing at the barriers. He's not in the same class as a thug who goes out mugging old ladies. At worst he chanced his arm. As a previous poster mentioned it doesn't take long to rack up a huge bill on PAYG.
Anyway no danger of you teaching my child. The slang for stolen is nicked not Knicked (as in Knickers) unles of course you meant kicked:rolleyes:
