How strange. I have just had an Email from:
InTrust Domains
4845 A Pearl East Circle
Boulder, CO 80301
Asking if I want to bid for https://www.trenthouselets.com Is this legit? Who are they and how did they get the right to sell MY website?
I am so annoyed!!!0 -
They dont but they reckon they can snap it up before you and then sell it back to you.
I can't stand people who buy domains just to sell them on =(0 -

I know it's hard, but it's not your domain name anymore. You (or the company you where using ) didn't pay the renewal so now it's getting put back in the pool where anyone will be able to try and grab it.0 -
So how can I get it before them?0

You can register with as many name dropping services as you can find (check their policies as some will charge you whether they grab the domain or not). Godaddy you've already mentioned but also take a look at Snapnames.com and Pool.com
The problem is that with some of these services if they manage to grab the domain before anyone else they will still put it on public auction to try and get as much as possible for it. (unbelievable I know).
If there is no interest at all in your domain then you might get lucky and just manage to reg it yourself via any registrar.
Just be prepared to walk away from the domain if you don't get it.0 -
Thanks for all the information all of you. I will probably just leave it and concentrate on my .co.uk website for now.0

I'm in a similar situation as the OP, I have some domains, that I registered myself through my host (I know, I now know not to have my site hosted with the same company as my domains are reg'd by!).
I had a dispute with the host, and didn't pay the bill. So, they didn't renew the domans. I know how to recoved .co.uk ones, and thankfully that seems easy.
Any tips as to how to recover ".com" and ".net" names?? I've read the posts above, and GoDaddy seem very reasonable, but any further advice would be good.

That seems to be a sensible decision as only a holding page is indexed by google for the .com. As the site is of interest only in the UK there is little point using a .com domain and google frowns upon duplicate content.knightstyle wrote: »Thanks for all the information all of you. I presume that you do have a 123 login giving you control of the .co.uk domain?0 -
UKMonkey, the OP managed to re register his domain when it dropped. (I'd noticed it was unregistered and contacted him via this board.)
What status are your .com domains at? Can you post or PM them to me?0
