Sold a Amazon voucher on ebay now buyer put in a claim

What i did when I sold a top up voucher on ebay, was I sent the voucher code by email and then forwarded the actual voucher by post to prevent a buyer doing this.

Isn't this backwards.
I thought there was no BUYER protection for intangible items. So the buyer can't claim a refund.
But on ebay, you not allowed to sell intangible items - ergo all items bought on ebay are tangible.
If they had bought a service, or website, NOT through ebay... they'd be stuffed. But as they bought a voucher - they can say there's no tracking, and act like they haven't had it.My TV is broken!

What makes you think that Fay? eBay rules clearly state:

I agree with the comments above, the buyer (german scammer guy) has no case with Paypal buyer protection as they didn't buy a physical item. If Paypal don't play ball you probably also have a claim against them too having paid out a buyer for a non-physical item purchase at your expense (not part of the t's & c's you signed up for as seller. Amazon would have records of who redeemed the voucher code too but that info would probably be hard to get at (eg without involving the police and having them ask for it)0 -
Might be a long shot, but could you possibly contact Amazon about the voucher?
If you still have details of the voucher, it may be possible for Amazon to trace it and give you information about it?0 -
Have you actually emailed the buyer?? Perhaps he thought the code was something else and was expecting something in the post?
I would send him an email, pointing out he's already had the voucher, so could he retract his dispute. If he won't retract him, tell him you'll take him to court for fraud...

No the only evidence paypal will except is online proof of delivery. Feedback means nothing and is not accepted as evidence.0 -
Its easy for a buyer to say to Paypal that they left feedback for the wrong item, so it's not evidence of receipt.
