Brilliant, cheers for your update, fingers crossed for you then, and hope you don't have to wait too long.:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I initially contacted LTSB in June re my payment protection on my credit card and after 8 weeks got their standard refusal letter and referred it to the FOS end of August. I received a letter early Sept from FOS to say that they are asking LTSB for further info and then they will pass it onto one of their adjudicators. Does anyone know how long the process may take? They did say that it may be a while as they are dealing with a particularly large no of complaints and that someone would def contact me within 2 months.
Is this a lengthy process?0 -

Hi there hun.;)
It may take some time but hopefully not that long with a bit of luck.
My hubby received an email from them the other day as they have some issues with Lloyds about Credit Card PPI, this should also be the same for you.
Here below is the email my hubby received, hope you find this helpful, but also send them an email or ring them as well if you want to - to find out an update on yours. Good luck, please let us know, that would be cool.;)Dear ,
Thank you for your e-mail and apologies for the delay in replying, due to me trying to get to the bottom of what is happening with your case.
I can, however, advise you that due to the large number of similar complaints this service has received concerning the sale of credit card payment protection policies by Lloyds TSB we have been in dialogue with Lloyds TSB at a high managerial level with a view to having the business settle these claims without the need to issue individual decisions on each and every case, a time and labour intensive exercise for the ombudsman involved given the number of cases currently with this service. I understand that as part of this process we are issuing what is known as a 'lead' decision to Lloyds TSB; this should hopefully be issued today.
In essence this is a decision issued by the lead ombudsman covering all the concerns this service has regarding the business' credit card sales and, if it is accepted by Lloyds TSB, we should then be able to provide the business with details of all the complaints we have received, including your own, for which we require settlement to be made. If, however, Lloyds TSB rejects the lead decision it may then be necessary to issue all of the individual decisions, though this is something we would wish to avoid for the reasons I have just stated. Whilst, therefore, the ombudsman has not issued a decision solely addressing your complaint, you are represented by this lead decision,
As with all decisions issued by this service, Lloyds TSB has a month to respond to the lead decision. I, therefore, anticipate being able to provide you with a further update on your case by this time next month.
Once again, I would apologise for the delay in replying to your e-mail and to the overall delays you are experiencing in the resolution of your complaint. I trust, however, that this e-mail goes someway to explaining the reasons for the delays and reassures you that your complaint, along with all such similar complaints against Lloyds TSB, is being progressed at the highest levels of this service.
Yours sincerely,
FOS

After reading some of the posts on here I have decided to write to Lloyds to see if I can get some money back, I took out a loan and was told I had to have the insurance as it was an unsecured loan. I then refinanced it again a few months later again taking out the insurance as told I had to!!! and having to hand back my credit card! I claimed on the second loan as I was made redundant with no payoff but I was still told that I had to have the insurance. Would I be able to claim mis sold ppi on both loans and the fact that I have another loan now with insurance which was taken voluntarily but I was not advised that I could take out insurance elsewhere. Any advice would be welcome. Thank you0

Hello there.
I think if you had made a successful claim, for example sickness/unemployment etc, they may come back and say you have been successful in making a claim, so where-as they would not confirm this was mis sold.
However, a few weeks back there were some posts posted on these threads that you can still complain on the policy, if your not happy with it, the way it was sold, or for whatever reason you may have etc.
There is no harm in giving it a go, for the reasons that you have, and see what happens, good luck.

Check the link above, you will find useful info, templates etc a checklist of mis selling reasons, if you require any help, just yell.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Its now 4 weeks since Lloyds original 8 weeks was up. The case has been passed to the FOS but I have contacted Lloyds today for an update, and found that my case is with the last department in the process and that I should hear their decision soon...0
