How long will it take for o2 to block my phone?

Hey all

I just checked my bank there and o2 have taken money from my account later than I thought, I dont have the money to cover it and since I wont be able to pay for it till the end of the month, I was wondering how long would it take for them to block my phone so I wont be able to make calls?

Have they taken the money from your account? i.e has the bank allowed the payment to go through or declined it? If the bank has allowed the payment to go through, then as far as they will be concerned it's paid, and you will need to deal with the situation with the bank.

If it hasn't been paid, you usually get around a weeks 'grace' before it is cut off, it really depends on how many times this has happened before though. If your account is frequently over due etc, it could be barred the next day.

If it fails the first time they try again in a few days. If it still fails billing will try to contact you, if they can't they'll put a black on (unless you've spent lots over your normal amount, in which case the whole process is much faster. . .)

If the direct debit fails, it fails, o2 won't try again.
