SE K750i/Nokia 6111/Motorola V3/Nokia 6230i < 12m contract + 12m Free < E2Save

E2Save are currently selling the following phones (clearance items - so they are refurbished phones) on a 12 month contract for 12 months free on O2:

Sony Eric K750i
Motorola L6 (Pink)
Motorola RAZR V3 (Pink)
Nokia 6111
Nokia 6230i

The snag....
The thing is that the contract details are:

1000 Off-peak minutes (non x-net)
25 Off-peak x-net minutes
100 x-net texts

The minutes are suitable for a light user.

However - the resale value for all these phones is well above £100 so you can take the SIM out and sell them on EBay - resulting in profit as long as you remember to return the cashback vouchers.

Mobileshop are doing the L6 on 12 months free rental on O2 100 and 200, with double texts and mins for the first 3 months.
£32.50 cash back if you purchase through Quidco.

This could be just what I'm looking for but am not so familiar with cashback.

How does the cashback deal work with e2save? You mentioned vouchers....?

I went to their site but there seems to be no mention of it.

    Cheers.

    Hi GrizzlyAdams,

Having just seen the MobileShop offer I would strongly recommend that you go for theirs. The link is here.

The phone is Motorola L6 Silver - it's a great phone, really thin. And the plus side is that for the first 3 months of the contract you will get 400 minutes and 200 txt messages that you can use to call cross-network any time. After 3 months you then get 200 minutes and 100 texts a month. And it's all free for 12 months. You also get 3 months free insurance however you must remember to cancel this after 3 months otherwise you will be charged.

How the system works is that you pay £30 each month, in month's 5, 7, 9 and 12 you will be sent cashback vouchers which you return to MobileShop along with your "airtime" bill. Normally most contract providers will send you a cheque but the great thing about MobileShop is that they pay it directly into your account - which means no bother over cashing the cheques. So for month 5 you will be paid £30 x 5 (£150), in month 7 you will be paid £30 x 2 (£60) and so forth up until month 12. After this time - you can keep the phone and either move onto a new contract or go into pay as you go.

Plus if you go through QuidCo you get an additional £32 ... profit.

Hope that helps - plz PM if you need any more assistance.

  • Elf, thanks for the reply.

I travel a lot so I will be using the phone abroad more than at home so the free minutes wouldn't make a difference.

I am also looking for a very good camera phone and have been told the k750i is one of the best -is it better than the Motorola?

Also, would I need to be here in order to claim the cashback?

    Cheers

I would just like to clarify on some of the points made by Elf.

When you receive your order from MobileShop, the vouchers should be inside the order, if they aren't then you need to contact them, otherwise after 14 days have passed they will not print them again. It is important that you don't lose these vouchers, because I don't think they will accept claims if these vouchers are not present, meaning that your cashback becomes void (they will refuse to pay out even if you have sent in your correct airtime bill) and you end up paying for a contract that maybe you wouldn't have taken out if there was no cashback involved to begin with!!! Make sure you send in the latest bill before the voucher expires or else they will not process your claim.

Personally I would either photocopy lots of these vouchers or scan it then email it to yourself so that you can print out whenever and then send it in with the correct bill. They recommend you to send in a photocopy of the bill as they don't return copies that you send.

For more FAQs from the MobileShop go here: http://www.mobileshop.com/cash-back/faqs.php

    Elf, £30 x 5 = £150.

With e2save you claim at months 4, 8 and 12. The cashback form can be downloaded from their site anytime and it doesn't have an expiry date.

GrizzlyAdams, yes the k750i is one of the best digital mobile phone cameras. This has 2 mega pixels, whereas the Motorola L6 only has 0.3 mega pixels.

You do not have to be physically here to claim your cashbacks, but you must remember to send off the claims in time, in order to have your claims processed. Get a family member to send it off for you?

dbs the 25 op xnet mins are included in your tariff so no need to pay extra. :)

Thanks for that HIBS. :p :rotfl:.
DOH! £30 x 5 does not = £600. I must've been on another planet - losing basic maths here :rotfl:.

Anyway - I've bought a Moto L6 from MobileShop - gotta look out for those cashback vouchers.

Cheers again. Must remember to open the calculator next time - otherwise I'll end up costing some people a helluva lotta munny.

To all those gone with this deal (K750i),

How is the quality of the refurb SE K750i phone you received?

I am thinking of going with this deal, but my last D600 refurb phone from e2save isnt really in an "as good as new" condition, so I am a bit hesitate this time.

    thanks.

Just to note I think that you have to have the original mobileshop vouchers, not copies. As they say the vouchers are as good as cash, lose them and you lose out. If they get lost in the post and you send them recorded you wouldn't get much. So if you want to be sure you need to send them insured which costs more.

They are rather slow on paying. I cannot remember the exact details but it is something like send in a bill, at the end of the period when you have to have sent it in by, they will then send you your cashback within the next six weeks or so, which means six weeks. So it takes a while to get paid.

Also I think mobileshop only accept original bills. Not all cashbacks are the same, having done a number, Mobileshop are on my avoid if possible. Saying that they do pay, so long as you jump through all the hoops.

BTW I got a Sony W550i from The Link for 10 months free, plus send an old mobile phone for an extra £10 cashback, plus £25 from quidco. Refurb W550i which I really like, but it did not come with a headset, and most refurbs warn some of the accessories may be missing....

EdCov, I am not trying to find fault with your post. I am just separating your post so that my comments is made clearer. :)

If you were referring to my post then this is not 100% correct. As the vouchers that you get are printed out on an A4 sheet, and do not have any kind of embossing or a seal of approval to say that these vouchers are genuine, then you can photocopy/scan (then print them out) in case you lose the ones that you were sent originally. These vouchers are unique to each order as there is a reference number and an order date, so if someone on here has lost their voucher then they cannot ask one of us to give them a copy.
As they say the vouchers are as good as cash, lose them and you lose out.
This is why I suggested my method, because if you lose them then you just need to print them out again.

I would just stick with normal recorded delivery because if it does get lost then I have proof that I have sent it. With some companies if your claim has been lost then they will ask you to email or fax it anyway so you won't need to send it again (not experienced it myself just made this comment from reading past posts). ;)

They say it takes 45 days
Why does it take 45 days to process the cheque?
Mobileshop.com needs to perform checks with the networks to ensure that there are no problems on the account.
I suppose this is usual anyway for all cashback claims as checks have to be made so they are not the only one.
Also I think mobileshop only accept original bills.
They say they will accept photocopies as mentioned previosuly, as they don't return the originals if you send them.

lkoky, if you don't want a SE K750i refurb phone then you can get a new one from Cool New Mobile (CNB)
    http://www.coolnewmobile.co.uk/34

This is a 12 month contract on Orange and free for 12 months (via cashbacks). I have taken up a contract with this company and I think they are the same company as Phonebox Direct (PBD) as they have the same Contact Us details. It has not been time to make a claim yet, but I have received an email confirmation today from a contract I took out with PBD last Novemebr saying my claim is being processed. :)
