Why did you refund the money?!? Now there's no chance of you getting a neg removed, as you're now the one in the wrong!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Just to update I have refunded the money in full and asked Ebay to cancel the transaction. I know they won't agree and I won't get my fees refunded but at least I can end this now rather than have it drag out. If/when they leave negative feedback I am going to report it to Ebay but I have a feeling its going to stay there.

By refunding them you are now in the wrong. You can get reported as a NPS and be neged with good reason. So you will have no chance of getting it removed for retaliation which you would have been able to do before. You have put yourself in a worse situation

Have they actually won the item?
if it's still a live listing you can end it without a winner thus stopping them having any feedback function

Have you thought about contacting live help about this? You can dig the link up from the US .com website. I think it would be helpful to talk to an ebay bod, get them to look at the history of the negative and their buying from you after. They may cancel the transaction if they feel it's revengeful.

The item was buy it now. To be honest I'd rather just end it now and take the negative feedback rather than have this drag on and have to refund the money later when they decide the item isn't as described and when they return it then it disspears.
Last time I tried to get Ebay to remove an unfair negative feedback I got a snotty nose reply saying that they would need an order from a solictor to do it!!!
I have enough postive feedback for it not to effect me too much. It just shows what weird people there are out there on Ebay! I am going to create a new account and seperate my buying from my selling
