Left neg feedback for seller now has brought from me!

I brought an item weeks ago and it never arrived I suspect because it sold much cheaper than the seller expected. I asked the seller about it and they said they would look into it. 7 days later I asked again no response. So 5 days later I reported it to Ebay and I the seller gave me refund straight away but put a note saying I was lying and they didn't have time to sort out the problem.
I left negative feedback and refused their mutal request to cancel the transaction as I did not like the way the seller acted or their attudie. Anyway shortly after I left negative feedback the seller brought an item from me. Its the cheapest item I have for sale.
So what do I do? Do I send the item? Do I cancel the transaction and write off the lost fees? Maybe I am cyncial, but now Ebay refuses to let sellers leave negative feedback is this his way of "getting me back"?
The item I brought from them was £3 inculding postage. The item they have brought is £7 inculding postage.

Just to add they have paid for the item by paypal.

Even if you cancel the transaction I think they can still leave a negative?

Once it's sorted ban them from bidding on your items.

And also, brought is 'to bring', bought is 'to buy'. ;)

Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.

If they pay send the item recorded, add them to you blocked bidders list too.

    Very possibly.

There are some proper twisted individuals out there in internet-land that seem to get some sort of kick out of cyber-bullying. Don't let them get to you. Fighting with an idiot is never wise, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. Rise above it, then point and laugh at their pathetic inadequacies. :D

As above, send it recorded to prevent any false claims of INR, and bookmark this link on feedback removal should they try to play silly sods - http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/feedback-withdrawal-removal.html - use the option of "buying with the sole intention to leave negative feedback"

It's also prudent to keep a separate ebay account for buying, not only does it prevent incidents like this occuring, but is also useful should you see a bargain that you could resell at a later date, without it appearing on your feedback history for buyers to see.

Make sure you send the item via tracked delivery, and if they leave a negative, just calmly reply to it "buyer bought this item to leave revenge negative. I advise blocking them"
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I don't know, i personally don't think i would send the item if i had an option to cancel the sale and refund it. I don't think you'll be able to avoid his neg feedback, but as stevew8975 said you can try and have it removed after.
My main worry would be that he would claim SNAD and send you some rubbish back tracked, so he could upload the tracking info on paypal and get his refund.
These people are a pain to deal with, it's a shame they don't have anything better to do!

On the odd occasion I have had to leave a negative I always block the seller. Just a bit of paranoia but it can help

Any seller I have to leave a negative for, I add to my blocked buyer list, maybe its my over suspicious mind, but it will prevent the scenario the Op is currently experiencing.

I usually do block people after this happens but they brought the item so quick. I should have blocked them and then left feedback.
Just to update I have refunded the money in full and asked Ebay to cancel the transaction. I know they won't agree and I won't get my fees refunded but at least I can end this now rather than have it drag out. If/when they leave negative feedback I am going to report it to Ebay but I have a feeling its going to stay there. The ironic thing is depsite selling 15 or so items a week on Ebay my only other negative feedback is from someone who brought a bulky item and then wanted me to wait in from 8am-8pm for a courier to collect depsite me saying collection was after 6pm only!

I would be more worried about some berk like that having my address than getting a neg!
