Flight Prices

Hi all,

Im planning for May 2010, im wanting to fly

Manchester - New York 5th May and stay in New York for 4 Days then
New York - Las Vegas for 4 days then
Las Vegas - Manchester the prices i have got are a multiple flight with continental airlines

On the return journey home for the cheapest flights the airline chooses to fly us back to new york then manchester

The flight from new york to las vegas is £230 (£115 each)

Total £993 for 2 adults for the round trip (£496 each) this includes all taxes and charges although i need to see if there are any hidden baggage charges

Do these prices seem a good deal or if you have any other suggestions then jump in and let me know

Regards

Kevi

Did you look at using a multi stop itinerary with Expedia or similar? You will have bag fees for your NYC to LAS sector on most airlines, which airline is offering you NYC-LAS for £115?

It's not an unreasonable price. I would check to see what COs baggage policy is for internal flights, I'm sure your NYC-LAS leg will involve a checked bag fee.

Delta for £432.80, Direct from MAN - JFK, then JFK - LAS, then on the way back via JFK again.

On the flights to/from europe, you're allowed 1 bag FOC, and a charge for the second, on the internal flight on the way to LAS, you'll be charged for a bag, and you'll have to pre order that online, however on the way back to MAN, from LAS, as you're checking in internationally, they treat it as an international ticket, so you'll be allowed your 1 bag for free.

Do you definetely need to book the checked bag in online? As far as I can see the first checked bag is $15 internally, but can't see any mention of booking online?

Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.

These are US Airlines, so book with a credit card, and that will cover you.

You can go to the high street and pay more, to be ABTA protected, as each time you book through someone who is ABTA protected, you chip into the ABTA pot, which is why you won't get the best price.

as for doing the bag online thing, with delta, yes you do, you get charged $5 more with delta if you wait to do it at the airport

Nice find on the Delta price, I would certainly choose JFK over EWR for ny layover too.

I did not know this. I wondered why TA prices for the same thing were higher.

Also, the OP must have travel insurance if going to the US which should cover flight cancellations and delays.
