When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D

Good morning everyone!
Hooray for the sun coming out this morning;) It's my daughter's sports day today so she'll be happy.
Had a lovely weekend - shopping in Next sale on Sat and m daughter's gym competition yesterday (she came 2nd:D). Now back to work, but last week before the hols:rotfl:...and this time next week we'll be in Ibiza:j

Anyway here's today's list...
  • check banking - moved ex's money to spending account
  • daily scratch...10p, but did withdraw yesterday
  • packed lunches to work
  • return stuff to Next for refund
  • dinner from freezer - chicken and bacon pasta bake
Ok, that's my lot for now - must get moving now! Have a fab day everyone:p
I really need to sort out a new signature!

    Morning!

 Feeling rough today but have a huge list to do so no rest for the wicked and all that. DS is poorly too bless him

    Plan for today is -

1/scratchies - done (will be at pay out tomo :j)
2/online banking - done and still skint. have spent too much this weekend on carp
3/start to do list i wrote yesterday  very surprised i have done a few things today.
4/work hours done a bit. was meant to go in tomorrow but let them know i probably shouldn't. they were ok with it but it creates more work for me today. think we are about there though! still have a bit more to catch up.
5/relax and try and get better. Feel awful  I AM TRYING!
6/food from stores OH is making a spag bol as i type...

Hope everyone has a good day. Still miserable weather here too  DS and I are having a pyjama day today we feel that bad. Least I know we won't get any visitors as docs have told us we have the dreaded pig flu :rotfl: Oh well. Just typical really :rotfl: Both of us have tamiflu although how the docs think it is easy to give capsules to a 2yr old is beyond me  It wasn't so bad this morning as he was a bit like "oh this looks interesting" but i'm not sure he will, by the look on his face, be so keen later!

Anyway must get some water! Have a good day everyone!

ETA - thanks for all the sympathy given. It is definately needed today! Had to ring OH to get holiday to look after us. Good job as a man turned up to carry on with our bathroom. OH told him we were all ill and thought they should have phoned anyway. He said office told him they had spoken to me early this morning. Er? Nope don't think so. If they did it is a bit worrying as I can't remember?!? So hopefully they are telling porkies. He just carried on regardless of our illness. Hope he doesn't sue if he gets ill next week. lol. he has done a good job though.

DS seems better after his nap. I am definately getting worse. Not good. Going to bed in a minute i think! :O)

I have decided that if i can get all computer work sorted then when i feel better i can catch up with cleaning/house related stuff. OH is doing the ironing tonight too! BONUS !! yay!
