Was up until half 4 wide awake, and have been up since 7.45 so i dont think i'm going to be very productive today, dont you hate it when that happens  no reason for it ....
Anyhow the cat and bird are fed, the fish will be as soon as i finish here, damp dust the living room and foodwise not sure, although the apricot almond crumble was yumm so that will figure somewhere [breakfast? ]
After all that exertion it will be time for a little zzzzz
Have a peaceful day everyone

Good Morning All!
it's a beautiful day here, sunny and fresh. Walked dog earlier so am feeling quite virtuous. One load of washing ready to hang out, next about to go in machine. Sadly, ironing pile seems to have grown hugely, so need to tackle that later. Had a few days in Jersey last week - great weather and super food!
However, having seen GP last week, my cholesterol is apparently sky-high, and in order to reduce the swelling in my legs I HAVE to lose weight. Nothing new, really, but guess I do need to do something about it now. Perhaps I'd better go across to the weight-loss thread for tips!
Will try to catch up on thread reading later - meantime, hope you all have a good day.Resolution:

I was talking to Tristan and he wasn't feeling well at all and I was trying to get him to ring the paramedics and he went silent and 10 mins later someone else typed on his messenger. He had rung but been unable to talk so they traced his phone.
He was out of it and had been drinking and was alone, so I had to explain about his health and try and give them a vague idea of what meds he was on. I gave them the contact phone number I have of our mutual friend but they couldn't get through. I had tried several times during the time I was talking to Tris and it wouldn't connect but I had to email her. But they said they would keep trying the number once they were on the way to hospital. The paramedics were really good and got him stablized but then he went into cardiac arrest.
It seemed like forever before they typed again but they brought him back and got a heartbeat and were taking him to hospital last I heard which was about 3 hours ago.
I am really tired but the nurse is coming shortly so had to get back up out of bed.
Sorry to ramble but if anyone could send a quick prayer or just some positive thought it would be great, thank you.

Well started to read todays thread then had to backtrack immediately to yesterday's. Haribo, glad you had such a great holiday, but hugs and kisses to poor Dtwin1. Hope her leg is healing and becoming less painful. Poor lass, what a way to finish your holiday !
My DS is over the swine flu thanks. Now Dniece has it, (not caught from DS, I hasten to add) But I have to say from our experience, yes it's pretty nasty, but actually goes through quicker than *ordinary* flu, about 5 days. I think there's a lot of unnecessary panic around. Obviously those with serious health problems are more vulnerable, but they are to any flu.
MSD glad you've had contact with Tristan, isn't he a fighter ? Good on him
I've been doing quite a bit of OS, well decluttering anyway. I am too ashamed to quantify the number of bags of too small or just disliked clothes I have cleared to the charity shop ( and let's not go there as to how many still had the tags on :eek::o) I will confess that I have held on to several almost identical pairs of cord jeans, why did i not notice I'd already bought the exact style, fabric and colour that didn't fit each time :rotfl: Once I've lost half a stone i'll be able to wear them
Been harvesting loads and loads of salad stuff. Baby carrots are almost ready, and the first of the french beans. Just call me Alan Titchmarsh :rotfl:
Well off for a quick look round, then nose back to the grindstone. Glad the cricket is on the radio, must will our boys to bowl those pesky Aussies outHope you won at the bingo Aussie, don't want you winning anything else today
Have good days, CM x
Edited to say, MSD so sorry. Prayers to be said immediately. Take care. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

Elantan - Welcome :hello:
Hermoine - You must be proud of DD3
Odd weather today don't know whether to risk putting the washing out.
Didn't send DD1 to school but did ring to let them know, and they told me that there is a confirmed case in her class, bearing in mind it's a village school, me, DH, DD's are sneezing for britain, got sore throats and hot too....:eek:I'm off to buy a thermometer in a min.
Easy peasy Paella today with a splash of hot pepper sauce
Hope you all have a good day xYou know your getting old when yougo to the pub sit outsideand admire the hanging basket

MSD...hope that you have had some positive news by now...hugs for you and Tristan.
Sunny, windy and cold here this morning, DDs 2&4 are off for a few hours shopping so I am baby sitting four grandchildren, youngest is down for a nap and will hopefully stay for a couple of hours, she is a very affectionate 17 month old but likes to have Mammy around all the time...in a push OH will do as a substitute!
Not sure what we are having for dinner to-night, probably something like shepherds pie or maybe spag bol...wasn't much left of roast chicken yesterday after it fed 7 of us...just sarnies for lunch.
Taking it in turns to use WM this morning as we all seem to have mountains to do.....so long as it stays fine will get all dry hopefully. Need to make some bread later and maybe some Twinks as stuff I baked on Thursday is almost all gone.
Haribo, hugs to DD....sounds painful, poor mite.
Have a good day everybody, welcome to newbies, hugs to all not feeling well
