Same here. Bought small starter home in a rough area when I was 18, but hated it. After two years of careful juggling, managed to save enough to move here and I've been here ever since.
Did originally buy it with my ex. When we split I gave up my rights to his pension and other assets to keep the house. Managed to get the mortgage in my own name, and somehow managed to pay it! It wasn't easy being a working single parent on a very tight budget, but I'm dead proud of myself for managing to keep the house for the boys. Ex told everyone I'd fall flat on my face and end up being repossesed but I didn'tHere I go again on my own....0 -
MM, OH bought this house at 19 too
I have paid nothing towards it (although I did lots of DIY and bought lots of furniture, gadgets etc) I'm very proud of him, especially as the tutors at college told him he'd never ammount to anything
That's what my mum said to me!!! So I went right out of my way to prove her wrong!
BTW, SM, I said it was a funny week probably because of how it started, my Mum visited on Monday with her greasy hubby, never been here before. Sort of set the week off on the wrong foot! I struggle to find things to say to her let alone him.Too many children, too little time!!!0 -
sami i was going to speak to doc about it on wed when im there, thinking about it he does have a high iron intake and healthy diet? but that doesnt mean he is absorbing the iron?
I think OH needs to be careful with the cigs though they can be quite dangerous as he'll absorb all the chemicals if he eats them.
I'm torn, I really like THIS there are quite a few on ebay so I looked at what recent ones have sold for and it's anything from £15-£20 inc p&p I have £50 amazon vouchers so I dunno if I should just get a new one or not :undecided0 -
your not the first person to say this and TBH if i find out its nothing then i know im going to have a handful and will need to buy a cattle prod or something lol!
i dont take him anywhere now as people always comment about his behaviour and he eats/bites everything. there is only 2 things that catch his attention and they are the simpsons and ITNG. he stope instantly and sits, then once they are finsish he carries on where he left off. he has almighty strength has broken the wooden playpen and the worst thing if all is he doesnt feel pain, he has fell down the stairs got up and carried on? sorry im rambling again but i havent really told anyone about him and OH thinks im overreacting? What's for you won't go past you0 -

He is adamant that I am not to feel guilty and I am to go straight to the docs if I get even a hint of those feelings again. He did try to encourage me to go anyway, but I am stubborn and am sure I feel fine currently.
So if you get up and down days, maybe you could think about going on an up day, just to see what the GP says is available if you start having lots of down days? Instead of waiting till you are having NOTHING but down days, and you just can't cope with it?I shouldn't really be here, my kids are all grown-up :shhh:Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Sami its not that he leaves things lying around Charlie will move something to climb and get them!
my friend had the spin thing but it wasnt any use once her LO was sitting, IMO i would buy 2nd hand? What's for you won't go past you0 -
Even if it's not that the doc may recognise it as something else.

Certainly doesn't sound like hyperactivity, don't know if you knew but my DS who's 15 is Autistic and the spectrum is huge. You start by talking to your Health Visitor and then it should get checked. Not saying I think he is I'm just saying as a mum you should follow your instinct and get him checked if you want to. And just to add that DS is a sweetheart, tried a teenage rebellion earlier in the year and was too nice to even carry that through!Too many children, too little time!!!0 -
