Just had a text from Toots - she's fine and says hi to everyone but is unlikely to be out until next Thursday. Am now going to sort out something for dinner - the kids are out which helps. I think I might just do trashy fishfingers, beans and chips.

Oh yum! I love fishfingers beans and chips (or even better: mash), it is the ultimate in comfort food!
I have not managed to get anything done other than dailies and won't get anything done this weekend as we are setting off soon to take DD and DS to Great Yarmouth to stay with Nana for the week in a caravan so DH has just taken the dog to the kennels [he got all excited cos he thinks he's going to stay at Nanas oh boy he's in for a shock when he realises where he's going]
I got a picture in my head of the dog shutting DH in the kennel and then sauntering back to your place and gettting in the car to come on holiday with you! Seriously tho, why are you putting DH in the kennels, it sounds like he really wants to go to Nana's.

Carlsberggal hope your mouth/teeth are better today – great to hear about the change you’ve saved too! WTG

Hugs Jo, how are you doing today? That list is far too long – shorten to what you actually can achieve this weekend, including plenty of time for job hunting/online applications for benefits etc

Penny, I spose if you go shopping in York it might be different from doing touristy things and wandering around going “isn’t it pretty here!” Shopping is a nasty business, I try to avoid it as much as possible

msgnomey hope your back is a bit better today

MOAM glad to hear that DS’s op went well, hope he recovers quickly

Valli you made me laugh so much when you said it was DS’s fault that you scraped the wall with his bed, that sounds like me!

Pigpen glad to hear that DS, GF and Jacob will be coming home for good soon!

Frodders, an ice cream festival!!!! Wow! (goes off into a little daydream imagining what it must be like)

Well done to Miss A and Master W on their certificates from school and getting a Pizza Hut treat

Hi Wilf, nice to see you. Sorry to hear about DD’s tonsils, but good to hear about DS’s golf trophies

This evening I must hang out washing, organise DH into doing something with the stuff from the car, and do some washing up.

Darn it..ah well.. perhaps Pigpen will put it up again sometime for those that do want it!

Thought id add that this week I have ordered a free showersmart thingy, that regulates your water flow in the shower (water bill was £230 for 6 months- dont know if thats good or bad really but still this gadget thingy might help)

Also ordered a free energy monitor from Southern Electric, which should help with the electric bill £120+ for the quarter. Will be able to keep an eye on where the electric gets used. Might even encourage the kids to turn off the DARN LIGHTS. My house is like Blackpool Illuminations most days. This quarters bill is a huge improvement though. We were paying £50 every 20 odd days when we had the key meter. Would strongly recommend to anyone on key meter to change over to bills. I was paying something like 15p per unit and am now paying approx 9p (maybe less)!!!

Oh and also ordered a bra ball from ebay to wash my underwired brsa in the WM. (nearly wrecked the old WM with wires and OH will murder me if I do it with the new one) £3.50 ish inc P & P...

I DO love the Old Style forums.. would love to live a bit more like that.. havent pulled it off yet though!! anyone seen weezl's 50p day challenge on there? amazing really!

    blah blah over with...

    :D

Im ok - slighty hungover still.

I dont think its really sunk in yet to be honest. Im not planning to do all the list. Just a quick tidy up in all the rooms at least. Will do the dishes and put a wash on. The list is just to keep me right......dont worry I wont be able to do it all

Am going to my other friends tonight for dinner, but Im going to take the car!

Dont want to spend another day moping around with a hangover xx
