Is there a difference in speed of payment between Buy It Now and Auction?

With auction format the buyer may have put the winning bid in days before the auction ends and could for example be away from home when the auction ends - so a delay in payment might sometimes be expected. But with Buy It Now the buyer must have been online at the time of purchase so could easily pay there and then.

If you want immediate payment though why not just specify this in your listing (if its a BIN item?)

I don't normally sell much myself but have bought things before where I have had to pay immediately, on auctions that I win sometimes I am away with work or other things are going on which means I can't get online to pay for a few days after the win anyway

I feel a little guilty now. Received the item today. Cost me 99p plus £5 postage. It actually cost him £5.90 to send. So without fees he would have made 9 pence add Paypal fees to that and he has lost money.

We have all done the same thing so I will leave good feedback because other than the constant invoices it was a good sale. I will also email him and mention the invoices and the fact that other buyers may leave him a negative for that so maybe he should ease up on them a little

I know, it happened to me as well. Usually I make no money on it but on odd occasion I do end up out of pocket. But it is my own fault as I try to guess how much to charge (too much hassle trying to work it out on RM web). :D

I must say that it is very nice of you emailing him to point out his "errors", hope he does take notice.
