How Many Invoices?!

I bought 2 things yesterday, from 2 different sellers. One cost over £100 and the other was 99p. I didn't pay for them immediatly as I had put the bids on early not sniped them.

So I logged on late last night and found that the 99p item (from quite a new seller), which finished at 1pm I had 6 invoices!

So I paid for the expensive item last night. This morning I have had 4 more invoices from the seller of the 99p item plus an email asking me when I was going to pay. I'll probably leave it till this evening till I pay. I expecting when I get the item to get barraged with requests to leave feedback.

I have posted before about this need for speed that seems to be happening on ebay now. How many threads have we had in the past week from newish sellers asking what to do with a non payer, when in reality it has been a day or two at most since auction ended? I'm not sure why there seems to be this sudden misunderstanding that buyers are required to pay immediately.

As this is a new Ebayer he/she may not be sure cyberbob has received his invoice, put the poor sod out of their misery and pay.

Also i have sent invoices to new ebayers waited a few days because they have not replied only to receive an email saying how do i pay. WE live we learn.

    .

I never send invoices out myself (unless they are needed for postage reasons) and have very few problems with people paying. I only ever send an invoice on the 6th day. Most people seem to pay directly via ebay.

If the seller thinks I never got the invoice they could give me a chance. If people are buying a few things over a weekend they sometimes pay everything at once after the last one has finished (thats what I do)

No i'm going to be petty will pay this evening

Likewise, I don't send an invoice unless a buyer hasn't paid after a couple of days.

Most people do pay immediately or within an hour or so these days - it is the polite thing to do, don't you think?

I do not consider fast or slow payment either polite or rude. Maybe I have been selling online for too long but i tend not to spend more time than I need to anymore, and I might not even notice a slow payer unless it was for something special or a high end item.

I normally send an invoice, sometimes straight after the auction ends and sometimes a day later if I forget or I am not online. Other than that I pay very little attention to what is happening and tend to check briefly every day to see if I need to send reminders or respond to any questions.

Doesnt really matter they have 7 days to pay. I normally pay immediatly but not always as do my customers.

I have paid him now. I have received another 2 emails asking when I wil pay. since this morning. I suppose I could say his communication is good, maybe a little too good.

Will be interested if I get hassled to give feedback.

I always send an invoice (seems sensible to make it easy for people to pay me), but no longer chase for payment - it's steight into unpaid claim on day 7.

I think if I had been carpet bombed by this guy, it would be 6 days, 11 hours... before i paid.

I always thought once you have won an auction an invoice is automatically sent occasionally I get an additional direct from the seller within hours of winning.

Also if I have won several items from one seller I will ebay them for an invoice as usually there's a p+p discount.

But what annoys me at the moment iand I know it sounds really petty is when the item is sent there no letter/note to say thankyou for purchasing item.
