Ignore what you read on the AOL website as the wireless network will be installed in your property and many users have done this! They may not give any support for this but it does not mean that you can't do it.

    Hi,
    Thats what I thought.
I was on aol many years ago and it did connect in a different way even then.

Any idea what I need and how to do it on aol standard ( or whatever its called) broadband?

AOL broadband is not really any different to any of the other hundreds of ADSL providers, despite what they would like you to believe, apart from the AOL nannyware that they expect you to install on your PC. The AOL software is simply not required and all that you need to do is enter your username and password into a router and you will have access to the net without the nannyware.

Do a Google search for more info.
