You should have a search, I'm sure this has been posted before. But, you have to pay for everything except the main pool. I go lots and really enjoy it. Eating out varies. You can get good deals for families early evening but book well ahead. Go to M&S and stock up before you go for one or two nights and eat out one or two. It is a really relaxing break, when you're in your lodge it does seem like you're on your own and not with 4000 others.

I have just received the brochure for my stay in Longleat next month. Let me know what you're interested in and I could let you know the price.

I got a £100 off due to a coupon posted on this site and for that I got an executive villa.

I do know that I have already spent £124 pre booking the World of Spa for 2 adults for three 3 hour sessions, which is almost half what I paid for the 5 days  .

Look at my post here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=181719. If you go to Normandy Center Parcs and book through French Life, it is half the cost of the UK during school holidays!
  • We've been to Longleat, Sherwood and Oasis (Whinfell) ... we intend trying Elveden but have not got round to it yet. Out of the three, prefer Sherwood ... closer to us than Longleat and, although Whinfell closer still, we prefer the facilities at Sherwood. When we visited Whinfell, all restaurants etc were under the dome and it felt as if you were at a big shopping centre rather than out in the woods. I found Longleat too hilly and the cycling between faciltiies nearly killed me !!! LOL

Similar to hear the experiences of others.

The spa is really nice..I did this a couple of weeks ago at sherwood forest as a day visitor as it was 2 for 1.. £40 for 2 of us for 3 hours with wine and cheese...It was really nice and relaxing...It was very busy at 4pm when we arrived..Your better off going after 5 then most people have gone for their teas..That's if you are going in the afternoon..It's great you will enjoy it....

We went to Elveden last year and really enjoyed it. I think OH paid about £250 for the week and we stayed in the hotel as it was just the two of us.( It was an anniversary suprise, so he wont tell me full amount!)

We didn't do the spa but it did look lovley, and the restaurants there are wonderful.

  • We go every year to Sherwood Forest and we have also been to Whinfell Forest.
It is a bit pricey when you get there. We had an Indian Takeaway for 4 people and it came to £50. Drinks are also pricey too, a glass of fresh orange juice costs about £2.60.

We go to Sherwood Forest once or twice a year, we've been to Longleat too, but love SF. The drinks do seem a bit more expensive. We didn't think the takeaway was that expensive, we spent about £19 on a takeaway for two of us that usually costs £17 at home. The shop is good value, in fact Huggies pull-ups were cheaper than Tesco!!!

It is true you can get a bargain with the Belgium and French CP's though!
