I've got the Tesco one - manages to easily do a stew for a hungry family of 4 adults, along with dumplings. Not big enough to do a whole meal in it though. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

thanks op, managed to save one for collection:beer:0

Thanks op I managed to reserve one yesterday and picked it up this morning. I've got a chicken curry cooking in it as I speak. I was just wondering and this may be a stupid question but do you have to keep stirring the food while it's cooking to stop it sticking to the bottom or do I just leave it?:oNothing to report:p0

No leave it, it should be fine. If you really can't resist (Its hard not to!), wait till about 1/2 way through cooking.

Slow Cooker quick questions thread
Also a MSE'r linked to this site a while back and it gives a very easy to read list of do's and dont's for slow cooking. Eg Carrots take longer to cook than meat so they go at the bottom. Don't open to stir unless you really have to as you have to add on extra cooking time.
ps I'm in love with my slow cooker!0 -
I've just reserved mine from Scarborough Argos. They only have 2 left in stock to pick up from store. Currently out of stock for home delivery. Can't wait to get it. I've been thinking about getting one for ages.
Thank you MSE for all the hard work.0
