I went there for the first time at 02.40 this morning, but i just nipped in for some milk and squash,so i didn't have a good look around,it's big isn't it?
I will be doing my shop there from now on,as i have been using Neath Abbey since last Oct,but i always go in the early hours,on the way home from work.
Have you seen the chaos the new traffic lights are causing?Sponsored by Tesco Clubcard Points !!0 -
i havent been in there yet, but the traffic between the traffic lights and the round about is terrible, i think i will wait a week or two before going there, until it dies down a bit...i normally go to the one in pontardawe... which i feel is quite small, but as it is close to me its ok. plus they allways take my vouchers there...so one week i use the internet for home delivery and use the codes to boost up my points, then the other week i use the shop to use my money off coupns..
plus prob...there is no misprice things there at the moment, as everything will be new and priced right.....
i bet it will hit asda..wonder if there will be a price war....
so if anyone has been or going, post here and tell us what you think...
...............have a good bank holiday everyone..............................

I am not sure if the traffic congestion will ease off,as i think it is caused by the traffic light sequencing from the new store,i work on the enterprise zone, and i hope i am wrong.Sponsored by Tesco Clubcard Points !!0

well if it is the traffic sequence of the lights its going to be a pain in the butt for everyone....its shows that the council didnt think again i used to work over in the enterpise zone... just up the road from the new tescos, so glad i'm not now with the sound of the traffic....maybe i will risk it when the kids go back to school..and find out what its like....
is it right they got a phamarcy there? as i have heard on another thread that tescos have got free pregancy packs plus a well woman type pack, for free at the pharmacy counter....Work to live= not live to work0 -
p.s.....carl... i like your signature.. is there a club so to speak the sponsored by tescos club ? if not maybe you should start a local branch.....
at the moment i would i'll would be in the tescos and boots sponsored club....Work to live= not live to work0 -
I decided on the signature after last summers "beef in gravy" promotion, where i racked up 43000 points in one quarter,i don't think Tesco will make that mistake again!
Do you collect as many points as you can also?Sponsored by Tesco Clubcard Points !!0 -
ye i have started about a month ago to try and get more points..i've got about £22.00 worth at the moment...i have had one internet order, and used a code for an 1000 extra points, plus i signed up to the dvd free trial and points....i will be doing another internet order this week with another 1000 point code. i read about the beef in gravy thing, and i have asked somewhere in one of the forum sites if there is anything like that at the moment. but nothing.....
i desperatley need a new kitchen, so i am seeing what i can get towards that..i now get my points once a year..at christmas time.. so hopefully if the internet codes dont dry up.. it will add up...
i still go to the tesco stores, to use the money off vouchers, and the point vouchers ....plus i have started looking out for the r & r bargins...had a siemens poppy phone last week... first one that done.....
i also go to the reduced section... when they do their final reductions..and if something is reduced to say 10p and it was bogof.. the bogof still kicks in even though they are reduced...
also i have had two meal deals... which were reduced to 20p each... and the main offer was save £1.00 if you buy two...of in effect i had two meals for free, plus tescos give me 60p for taking them..
oh yes plus i have signed up to all the clubs with tescos so hopefully will ge more point vouchers through...
i have also signed up my hubby with a seperate card...just to get the point vouchers through the door..
have you got any tips..?Work to live= not live to work0 -
Well, you seem to be doing quite well so far!
I have got a Tesco credit card (the new cards just launched are not as good for points),i also have the Clubcard Plus (i think they stopped doing these, but i may be wrong),i have 2 Tesco mobile sims,i have had the telephone service in the past, and i have previously joined up to Powergen.
You will get some extra points for joining the different "clubs",have you joined them all, even the mother and baby club?
I have been told you can pick up a temporary clubcard when you go instore,i think you get 100 extra points for using these,i can't you them because i have the clubcard plus card.
I am not obssessed, although people in work think i am!,but by collecting these points,we have not paid for our summer holiday for 5 years, and so far,i have enough vouchers to pay for 2007/2008 and half way to 2009 holidays, and thats 3 weeks in the South of France,so keep going.Sponsored by Tesco Clubcard Points !!0 -
hey thats good going... all those free holidays....well as for signing up for the credit cards...thats out of the question at the moment, as my past history is not very good so i would get refused......
also i was going to swap over to powergen, but i stopped because of the price increases, so i am going to wait to make sure there is no more price rises, as it is pointless paying higher electric just for the points...
so what exactly was the score with the beef in gravy.? i know it was something to do with loads of points
also i wonder how long before someone gets their first r & r in llansamlet...
do you think they would allow a general local tesco thread in our regional threads ? where we could talk about local tescos in general, and how people are getting on with collecting points, and what they are going to do with them...you know just general chit chat... but usefull info....as the main tesco one is misprice, and the other one is codes etc.Work to live= not live to work0 -
The beef in gravy deal is here, http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1124882829,16743
There is a extra point thread here,

As for a local thread about Tesco, some have posted misprices there, but i think more people would see it on the main board?Sponsored by Tesco Clubcard Points !!0
