Well what can i say ...i have had recently taken out insurance with Direct Line, as i have never had insurance before

i did not know which company would be best, so i went with the one i spotted on tv they had been doing a lot of adverts as well so thought Direct Line would be best .... boy was i wrong !!!

i had to make a claim recently and i dont know how, or even if they train there staff but everytime i spoke to someone there, they talk to you like you are a piece of dog do do on their shoe!!!!

i have never been spoken to they way they have spoken to me .... i dont expect ppl to have a permanent high pitched cheery voice whenever there working but the way i was spoke to was blatently rude ... and this was by more than one customer service rep...

so i just want to put it out there, what has been your experience with direct line ??? also if you are with a great insurance company let me know which one ... i dont mind even paying a little extra if the customer service is good....

so people my advice avoid DIRECT LINE like the plague !!!!!!

I have never had a problem with DirectLine.

    4 years now, 2 accidents, they're fine.

Maybe its just me being lucky or you unlucky??

Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience.

I was with DL last year. Had a horrible problem with a soil pipe that was damaged accidentally  DL were brilliant. So much so that I have stayed with them this year (I had a look round, they weren't the cheapest, but there wasn't enough in it to make me want to change after having such good service)

If you spoke to them the way you speak to us maybe you were responsible for the attitude you came across.

I'd happily recommend them, and can only say they have always been polite whenever I have spoken to them.

Been with them for 10 years for car, house, and travel insurance never had a problem with any claims always very professional and courteous
  • I've been with them for 2 years as I have my car insurance with them, have had 1 claim and they have been most professional so far.
