I'll call Barclaycard UK on Monday and give it another try, but it doesn't look like they are going to offer anything sometime soon but I don't think I will close it just yet... I've had it that long, it's like an old friend!
I normally ring Card Services during business hours on 01604 234234, to avoid the perishing 0870/0844 numbers and, with luck, the overseas call centre.
Unfortunately, this is not a static connection. During busy periods, it dynamically routes the call overseas.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
Thanks Moggles, I'll post back and let you know how I get on.0

I think I've sorted it ... well kind of! I would have preferred it keep it all in one place but at least Virgin won't me stinging me for interest. And I got through to UK operators - lol they must have been quiet this morning!
I have put a small amount on Barclaycard Cashback (ex Morgan Stanley) who have offered me 6.9% lifetime with 2.5% BT fee.
and the rest on Mint who have offered 3.9% for 6 months with 3% BT fee. Not as good as yours Moggles ... they must like you more!
I can split my Virgin debt onto these 2 for now, at least now I have 6 months for Barclaycard Visa to come up with something to replace Mint.
Thanks for everyone's input :T0 -

Just called Barclaycard on the 01604 234234 number. Got routed to India and was offered 6.9% LOB + 2.5% fee on my 10K limit Platinum Card which had been zero for a while. (Can transfer up to £9000.)
Also called Natwest. They wouldn't do me a LOB deal on their platinum card. They offered 3.9% (till Jan 2010) and 3% fee instead.
Decided to take Barclaycard, but because of the amount they said that for security they would have to send me a letter in the post with a reference with which I have to call them back.
Ha ha ha... the "op" asked me if I was happy with her service and the way she handled the call. After I said "yes", she asked me if she could transfer me to her supervisor so that I would tell her the same thing as it would help her with her job. The supervisor asked me if I was happy with the "op" and I said yes. Then she put me through to an automated satisfaction rating system. I'm sure the results are glowing since it seems that people are pre-vetted twice before being connected!0
