Well i would phone them up and tell them that the cream they sent you is not a suitable alternative, another pair of hair straightners to the same value of the ones advertised would be a suitable alternative surely?

yeah and this cream, i would never paid £62 for it, first as u said its for older and second i've never even heart about this company...

They always state that the gifts are subject to availability and sometimes are limited to the first so many to subscribe so not a lot you can do really. You could flog the cream on ebay although obviously you won't get what it's worth.

I sold my Gatineau cream on Ebay on a buy it now auction and got £29.99 within 30 minutes of listing it!

you could do the same or get someone else to do it for you and then buy the straighteners yourself with the profit

I received my cheque today from Hachete Filipachi for the £14.50 they took out of my bank account on the 12th of December for the Psychologies sub, took its time but we got there eventually!

A lot of the creams/ perfumes etc that are given as subscription offers seem to be makes available from QVC including Gatineau/ Liz earle / Philosophy etc. It's alaways worth checking if it's available there and how much they sell it for and as suggested get it on Ebay. These usually are v expensive brands and will sell well.

I'm still waiting for more Liz earle but can't remeber where from - but I will be keeping it not selling - I love her stuff

Might do the same… do you think it wont be to hard to sell it as a newbie seller, I ve never been registered with ebay?

I rang she customer service and was told they can exchange to alternative gift and it probably will be form cosmetics range, so its not really worth as I still need to buy a new straighter

Im really stressed, my OH subscribed to Evo mag from the mag thread on here a month or so back, and he sent an email to cancel (as sugested on here again) but they have taken over £20 out of our account now...does anyone know how to contact them via email?

I've just contacted ipc media who say they don't know anything about this eye cream and that I'm on a 3 for £1 subscription and you can't have that with a free gift ( absolute rubbish as I did that with essentials the day before.)
They weren't prepared to offer me anything either, just said wait till this ends and then subscribe again.

It was done through the Magazine Group.
